HOW IMPORTANT IS YOUR FAMILY TO YOU?
Family
means no one gets left behind and forgotten; togetherness is a very important
aspect of family. Some other definitions of family are;
1. A group consisting of parents and
children living together in a household.
2. A group of people related to one
another by blood or marriage.
3. All the descendants of a common
ancestor.
There are
many other definitions and many different ways of looking at the word family,
referring to it and understanding its purposes.
Being
around people with whom you are familiar, people who care for you, who are
concerned with your well-being gives you a wonderful feeling and that is family.
Some people are not born into the best families or the family they would have
wished to be in, but I assure you that whatever family you are born into was part
of your destiny and reason of life so there must be a purpose for your coming
into that family. All you will have to do is to discover that purpose and
accept your family as they are.
Family must
not necessarily be a relation by blood only, for at times your friend might
care for you and be concerned about your well-being more that your blood
brother. Everybody has the power to lift up each other emotionally. Just accept
this part of our humanity and take the world as family. Your family might not
support you through every situation but does not mean they do not care.
Can you
explain the happiness in you when you sit at the eating table with your direct
family, extended family and even with some friends, discussing and eating
together? This is an amazing feeling which brings you so much comfort and puts
an endless smile on your face throughout the meal. One can say the food becomes
special because of their presence. That is family! Some people who believe in
family often say “Dinner together is family happiness.”
Most times
it is so difficult to stay away from family members. No matter the reason why they
go away. Yes! It’s not easy to forget someone just like how u will throw
spoiled food. Not forgetting parents who spent years growing up their children
just for them to end up leaving or not even appreciating their parent’s
sacrifices and love for them. A good mother’s love for child can best explain
how important children are to their parents.
There is a
saying; “life is short, family is forever.” I heard this from a motivation
video and it has so many meanings, but I will speak about the phrase “family is
forever.” Family is forever because the
memories of you and your family together can never be lost. You go elsewhere
and think you have lost your family but turn out you just got new friends, and
company. That is another family you are building up. Your DNA match with your
family members will never fade away. There are so many facts that prove the
saying “family is forever.” And not leaving out the impossibility of living
alone, but with people who are classified as family; so this short life we have
is often spent with our direct or indirect families.
Always keep
your family at heart. With family there is hope. As a family we can solve
almost all problems. Family always makes a way. I believe that if we all can
see this great importance of have, making and keeping a family together, we
will make the world a better place.
Family
comes first. Love your family for they are one of your treasure.
